Or even if you wanted to make a role playing simulation like WoW or Bloodlines you can rent or buy a large area to do so. Let's say you wanted to just own a small house, you can rent a smaller piece of land.
So, if you wanted to make a life size amusement park you could go with a full permission homestead or buy a land from Lined Lab themselves (Linden Lab are the creators of Second Life). In Second Life you can also own or rent different sized lands. It all depends on your computer and how much it can handle.
For example Second Life has their own viewers for Mac and PC as well as their beta viewer, but you can also download the Firestorm viewer which gives you different options than Second Life's viewer, you could also try Niran's Viewer which give you optimal settings for your computer as well as a lot more options for customizing your view. You also have the option to try different viewers that are supported by this virtual world. Like with Entropia Universe, if you have an awesome computer you can adjust your settings to have an awesome experience graphically. also you have different ways you can travel like with a plane, helicopter, car, or any other types of vehicles. Although, you can make a warp speed item for your spacecraft so that you can get to different planets faster.
The only down side to that is that going from one place to another takes forever unless the places are close to each other. Yes that's right, you can fly your spacecraft literally from planet to planet and charge people to take them with you. You could also transport people from place to place or even planet to planet. You can hunt and get different things to make equipment or you can sell it to others or your can sell it to the trade terminal. Now, you have many options to make real life money in this game. If you have a great computer then you have the capability to adjust your settings to have great graphics. This game has awesome graphics if you have a computer that allows you to set your graphics appropriately. However, being able to do those things makes this number two on my list.
You have to memorize hot keys and learn how to do things like hunt, construct, talk to different groups, sell your items, buy items using the trade terminals, and buying items from the auctioneers. That is just my opinion, you are more than welcome to try it out for yourself and maybe you may think differently.Įntropia Universe take a lot to learn, and I mean a lot. So, in other words, if I was asked to recommend this game, I could not. There is a lot of learning that you have to do in order to even get around this game or own an apartment which makes things very difficult. I went to school for my bachelors in game art and design and saw better graphics made by newly taught people than I did with this game. However, the reason it is number four in my list is because of the play and graphics. It isn't a terrible game if you are into "certain things". You do happen to have the opportunity to earn money in a couple ways like getting a job or selling services. You can also explore different places and meet people just to chat but for the most part it is strictly geared toward adults. It allows you to make an avatar and either sell "certain" activities or participate in "certain" activities. Red Light Center is a graphically low, strictly adult virtual world game.
